A new addition to the expansive Marine Wharf development, Plough Way Cafe offers amazing Italian food, wines and cocktails in a funky environment, including brunch at weekends.

It's advisable to book as this place fills up quickly. Sister restaurant to the Canada Water Cafe at the Maple Quays development.

PLOUGH WAY DELI

A worthy sister cafe-cum-deli to the Plough Way Cafe opened in March 2018 on Plough Way. Great selection of continental meats, cheeses, breads and Mediterranean groceries with space to sit inside and out. Great for a take-out coffee and fresh ciabatta.

THE PEAR TREE @ GREENLAND PLACE

The newest arrival in the neighbourhood is only seconds from the Plough Way Cafe and sits within the newly completed Greenland Place development. An Australian initative incoporating a Delicatessen store as well as a very spacious dining room behind it. The creativity of the menu ups the game for the local area and the wine and cocktail menu is exhaustive.

THE BLACKHORSE

Until 2016 it was unlikely anyone but staunch locals would venture to the Blackhorse. However, a thorough overhaul has made this a trendy new addition to the Deptford pub scene with craft beers, good list of spirits and a Sourdough Pizza Saloon. The pub also screens sports fixtures on large TVs.

STREET FEAST @ HAWKER HOUSE - VISIT WHILE YOU CAN!

Under the familiar Street Feast brand one of the former industrial units on Canada Street has been reborn as Hawker House - for now at least. With the redevelopment of the area around the Surrey Quays Centre and the Leisure Park it won't be long before this great venue disappears. A fantastic mix of street food retailers, umpteen bars and lounge areas make this a great place to spend a Friday or Saturday night with a really good vibe.

LEADBELLY'S BAR & KITCHEN

One of the newest additions to the Rotherhithe bar scene, Leadbelly's is run by the same team behind the iconic Mayflower pub. At Leadbelly's they've developed a 21st century bar and restaurant environment with all the expected cues of exposed concrete, bare filament light bulbs and industrial furniture in the heart of Canada Water. The food menu builds on the quality of the Mayflower but with a slightly trendier vibe, coupled with craft beers, cocktails and a broad mix of wines.

THE YELLOW HOUSE

Situated on the corner of Southwark Park, opposite Surrey Quays Station, The Yellow House offers a great selection of gastropub food, woodfired pizzas from their own oven and a good drinks menu.
